Building an Island-wide driver network
One Island is building a taxi platform specifically for the Isle of Man, alongside the drivers who use it.
Taxi forms part of the wider One Island platform, helping residents and visitors stay informed, get around and discover more. Our aim is to make it easier for people to connect with licensed drivers when they need transport, while giving drivers a flexible additional booking channel.
We are now onboarding licensed taxi drivers from across the Isle of Man as the network grows.

Fare estimates shown to passengers through One Island are configured around the prevailing RTLC-approved meter tariffs. Final fares remain subject to the applicable tariff and relevant journey circumstances.
What do I need to join?
If you’re already a licensed Isle of Man taxi driver, getting started is straightforward.
- Valid PPV Driver Licence
- Relevant driving licence
- Appropriate vehicle documentation
- Required vehicle insurance
- A suitable smartphone
- Completion of One Island's driver onboarding process
One Island verifies the relevant driver and vehicle documentation as part of onboarding and maintains records of relevant licence expiry information.
